808′s and Heartbreak !
I’m hooked on Kayne’s 808′s and Heartbreak!!This is weird because I really didn’t like any of the songs that he has released of this album. Today I saw that there was a possibility to listen to 808′s&Heartbreak for free, through Luisterpaal. A website that streams the newest albums. I had nothing to lose and gave it a listen. I’m really feeling Kanye’s lyrics; they are not too complicated but still express the emotions he wants to share with the listener. The beats have something special because they’re different than what I usually expect from him. It took me a sec to get use to the auto tune, I’m not a fan of that style but only Kanye can get away with it!
I read somewhere that they didn’t feel Kanye’s pain because of the beats and the auto tune and that it created somewhat of a distance between the artist and the listener. With me is the opposite, I think because of the auto tune and the futuristic beats the listener drowns in his music. It’s one very interesting journey through his feelings.
I really like each song off the album, they all fit well together. I think that’s why everybody should listen to the CD so they can just take a look in the world of 808′s & Heartbreak, listening to only one song isn’t enough. Trust me.
When you listen to the album, try to be open minded, only then you’ll discover the beauty of it.
For now my favorite song is Welcome to Heartbreak ft Kid CuDi, the lyrics…the beat … it has the whole package. It’s about the difference between the life of a ‘regular’ man and a superstar. The superstar realizes how shallow his life is in comparance with the life of the regular guy. I fell in love with the song as soon as the beat kicked in and I heard the first line ‘My friend showed me pictures of his kids and all I could show him were pictures of my cribs.’
All I can say is that I’ve got a lot of respect for the fact that Kanye dared to take such a huge risk by doing a whole album with auto tune and experimental beats. But it all worked out great.

Immortal Technique going to Afghanistan
Immortal Technique will perform on the 20th of November in San Francisco at the DNA Lounge and the 21st at the UC Berkeley in Berkeley(CA) to raise funds for Omeid International. Omeid International will work to provide Afghan orphans with housing,education, nutrition, healthcare and other fundamental necessities
for their development.
In addition to the performance, Immortal Technique is also putting up $10,000 of his own money and traveling to the region to make sure construction is completed.
So if you live in San Francisco or Berkeley ,make sure you go and support Omeid International.

Today is actually ODB’s birthday,if he were alive he would’ve been 40 years old !
I didn’t want to post something on the 13th of November(the day that he died) because I think it’s better to celabrate his life and his talent on his birthday.
He was an unique rapper and nobody can replace his empty spot in the hiphop game. A lot of rappers have been copied but I’ve never seen anybody even dare to copy ODB’s style just because it was one of a kind.
I know he’s inspiring a lot of young rappers at the moment and I think because of him rappers dare to be different nowadays.
I wish you a happy birthday ODB,hope you give a great party where ever you are in a world unknown to us.

De La Soul started the cipher and blessed the mic with what I think was a freestyle!
After them Mos Def took the mic for some freestylin’ and Will.I.Am did the same and then the dj started the beat of Re:Definition and Mos Def came back and did his verse … not only the audience but the rappers on stage started bouncing … and just as I thought that it couldn’t get any better … the dj starts spinnin the MADE YOU LOOK instrumental and there was NAS,my god!! I went insane in my bed,you guys see Kid Cudi? See the way he’s jumpin all over the place durin made you look? Well that was exactly what I was doin! haha loved the way Kanye reacted when the beat of Made you look started,I felt the love !
